Nomad Islands

Briefing: the islands are places where time and space are in obvious contradiction. Nomads are guided by the anxiety of space and conceive freedom as absence of barriers. A nomad island is therefore an island whose boundaries are only imaginary because they could be mentally and indefinitely re-designed. In this work, each image is an island and the whole is an archipelago. Each island is not only a geographical location, but also a place related to memories; therefore, each image contains the time and the traveled distance, as well as it defines a precise space within the geography of my life

Exhibitions and Awards:

  • Exhibition in Taverna de los Mundos (Bilbao) in 2005
  • Some of these images have been sold to private collections
